From Infinite to One: The Creative Power of Focus

We often think of ourselves as our bodies — flesh, bones, and the thoughts that flicker within our minds. Our senses tell us what is real: the warmth of the sun, the sound of a familiar voice, the weight of our own presence in space. But is that all we are? Or is this physical experience merely a single layer of something far greater?

Imagine, for a moment, that awareness is not confined to the body but extends far beyond it — like ripples in a vast ocean. What we call “experience” is simply the act of perceiving different currents within that ocean, different energies moving in relation to the Self. The boundaries we believe in — the edges of our skin, the limits of our senses — are not the true boundaries of who we are.

When we begin to question what awareness actually is, we start to see that it is not just the ability to think or perceive. Awareness is a vast spectrum, encompassing all possible experiences, all possible perspectives. And in that realization, something becomes clear:

The physical body is only a fraction of what awareness is – and that is by design. You, at your core, are really ALL TYPES of awareness because you are ALL TYPES OF EXPERIENCES.  And what is experience other than a type of awareness of particular energetic dynamics in relation to your concept of Self?

Every experience imaginable and possible to consciousness -- to your spirit -- is currently wrapped up within you, right now, all at once… in this very Now moment.  So, being all things existing simultaneously, how is it you move from being ensconced in the “All” into experiencing something considered “One” or “divided” from that?

It’s very much the same way you pick out a particular instrument within the fulness of an orchestra: you focus and ignore or “downplay” the other instruments or musicians.

You see, you are all things, like an orchestra with all these separate instruments playing side-by-side, creating music.  In your case, the song you are playing is that of All Creation – All Experiences Available to Life – and it’s happening all at once.  But to really be wrapped up in the multidimensional nature of the song, to fully enjoy it and understand its composition, you have to realize how each part relates to the other.  And the only way to do that is to parcel out each instrument – or each kind of experience – and really examine it; look at it; learn about it; and then see how it all relates to this great composition.

In other words, you have to take from all experiences happening at once and then turn them into single experiences happening in a sequence to really view them independently and understand how each contributes to the entirety of the whole.  And this is what you are doing when it comes to creating the individual experiences and “stuff” of your life through the filtering, divisible fabric of the physical brain and body.  It is the brain and body that creates the sequence -- the illusion of time – by virtue of the nerve endings and resulting neural network, and hence, your physicalized awareness of what you’re experiencing “out there.”

When you are forming your reality, you are not creating something from nothing, you’re not “attracting” things to come into your sphere from outside of you; rather, you are siphoning through all the instruments currently playing and deciding upon one instrument – and thus one aspect of the composition – and making that your experience.

You see, the stuff of life, the making of your individual experiences, will always come down to you and the focus of your awareness – your intensity of focus, in relation to your beliefs about yourself.  Again, the entire orchestra is playing within you, right now, but in order to have a unique experience out of all those instruments, you have to “block out” all but the one you are really interested in.  For something to really become tangible, to become a process in which your Spirit and Self engages, you have to “pull it” from that all-encompassing field … You have to make it stand out.  This is why you have awareness in the first place … Because through your own awareness, you create what is real within your spirit and thus your life.

This is how you “let go” of those things you do not want to experience in your journey, especially if you are experiencing unwanted conditions right now.  You have to focus on what you want, move from the one instrument you are not enjoying to the next one, and then the next one … To change, you have to re-siphon, re-focus … To make what you want more interesting to have in your awareness and experience it in this Now Moment.  Because when you make what you want more interesting to look at, you will begin to ignore all the other possibilities, including the one you don’t want to be experiencing.  Remember that time you bought a new car — and then noticed all the same models on the road you never noticed before? Yeah, it’s like that.

However, I think it’s important to point out: “want” and “desire” is not what brings things into focus and reality. Focusing on something in the mind goes beyond mere “desire” or “want” — it’s about embodying a reality as though it already exists, because in actuality, it does. All the instruments (and experiences) are happening simultaneously, therefore are all valid in terms of reality. So, by aligning thoughts, emotions, and actions with this envisioned reality, you create a powerful internal state that “trains” and “preps'“ the time/space matrixing functionality of the physical brain/body to encounter it. It’s a transformative mindset that replaces longing with living, empowering you to experience life through the lens of simultaneous reality into linear expression.

While "desire" and "want" often stem from a sense of lacking, mental focus shifts the perspective to abundance and being, as it proclaims such possibilities as already complete.

As an example, you may have been focused on playing the flute for a long time in the cosmic orchestra, but now you are moving your awareness to the violin. The only way to understand the violin is to keep it in your awareness and let go of your memories of the flute. You will not learn to play the cosmic violin so long as you continue to remain on how you played the cosmic flute. Do you see how this works here?

Your awareness — and how you focus it — is the creative power behind the formation of your physical experiences.

What you're doing is you're taking a possible experience -- at the start, equal with all possibilities (no greater, no lesser than, but equal) -- but then choosing to make that one possibility larger; to make it stand out from the crowd. And through that focus, you naturally ignore all the other ones … forcing them to not only disappear from your awareness, but also from your physical experience.  What you are left with is what you have been out-growing -- what you have been expanding all along, to the point that your Self – as all awareness, all senses, all possibilities – is no longer ALL, but rather has BECOME one.  Or rather, the one that you’ve focused on, has become you.

That’s how you create your reality.
